We host 6 different recitals and each class is assigned to a specific show. We host multiple shows to keep our show lengths to a minimum and offer each family ample tickets to the show. You will find out what show your dancer is in this January.

All recital costumes are ordered the week of Costume Week. Once costumes arrive at PDC and we have them processed, your class will be notified via email and we will send them home with your dancer. Costumes arrive anytime between March – April (picture day). Tights are included with your costume.

We are excited for our annual Dad/Dancer dance! Dancers and Dads will attend 5 rehearsals starting after Spring Break and then perform in the show. Sign-Up for Dad’s dance in January!

MANDATORY DRESS REHEARSAL: WEEK OF MAY 7 – 10, 2017 between 4 – 9 pm at Jefferson High School Auditorium. Each class will rehearse one day on stage before the big show. No classes will be held this week, as all dancers participating in the recital are required to attend the dress rehearsal.

Dancers MUST have the following shoes for pictures and recitals. We sell Capezio shoes in our store. If you do not purchase from us, they must look identical to the listed shoes. Tights are included with your costume.

April 9 The remaining tickets will be available beginning Monday, April 9th at 9:00 AM
  • Tickets are not included in tuition or costume fees.
  • Tickets will sell out – do not anticipate purchasing tickets at the door.
  • Tickets are assigned seating, not general admission. You can choose your seat(s) when purchasing.
  • There will be a limited number of tickets for each show, so you will get a max number of seats you can purchase (between 6-10).

Every class will need two parent volunteers in the dressing room during the show. Volunteers will receive a priority access code to purchase tickets one week before sales open to the public. These parent volunteers will be at each class table to supervise and also escort the class to/from backstage. Volunteers will receive a priority access code to purchase tickets a few days before sales open to the public. Parents who prefer to watch their dancer can volunteer for the show their dancer is not in. Parent volunteers will also be able to watch from backstage, so this is a great opportunity for a parent to stay with their dancer rather than drop them off.  If you are interested in becoming a backstage recital volunteer – please e-mail the studio.

We are really excited to offer you a chance to publish a personal message to your dancer or place an ad for your business in this year’s recital program. This program will be a full page (8.5 x 11) booklet in full color and will be a keepsake for many of the dancers and their families.

Recital DVD’s, flowers, t-shirts and more will be available in April. Mr. Video will be professionally capturing each show. Our custom flower bouquets can be pre-ordered and picked up the day of the show. Professional stage make-up kits and other performance accessories are available in our store.

We recommend recital hair & make-up, but it is not required. Stage lights are bright and a child’s small facial features may appear washed out without make-up. We sell Yofi stage make-up kits in the PDC Store. Each kit includes a duo eye shadow kit, eye shadow sparklettes, blush, lipstick, mascara and a cosmetic bag for $40. We also sell items separately. It can be difficult to apply make-up to a very young child. Just apply what you can and don’t worry about the rest. We recommend starting with one color of eye shadow on the lid, blush and lipstick.
> More Recital Make-Up Tips We do not require any specific hairstyle, however please wear any hairpiece or accessory that is included with your costume. Many dancers will curl their hair, do an up-do or wear it half-up.
